The Ohio Beef Council is accepting applications for the following positions:
The position develops and executes checkoff-funded marketing programs for the Ohio Beef Council. It includes coordination of the Ohio Beef Council’s digital marketing initiatives and implements tactics of the council’s marketing plan to increase consumer demand for beef and veal products. These include tactics focused on “how beef gets from pasture to plate” and programs to “inspire increased consumer usage of beef.” Proven organizational and communications skills, both oral and written, are essential. Must have digital marketing experience and be highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of software programs. Agricultural background required and cattle background preferred.
The position is responsible for all OCA internal and external communications. Internal communications includes production of the Ohio Cattleman magazine, member e-newsletters and graphic design work for association programs. External communications includes distribution of press releases, regular updating of association websites, and management of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube accounts. Similar communications functions also required for the Ohio Beef Council. Position requires excellent writing skills and publication layout and design skills including a high proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. Cattle industry background is preferred.
