A multi-generational Ohio farm family raising cattle and crops with the same work ethic and pride that shaped NFL tight end Cade Stover on and off the field.
The Stover Family farm story is rooted in generations of hard work, stewardship, and pride in Ohio agriculture—values that helped shape Cade Stover long before his football career took off. Raised on his family’s farm, Cade learned early that success comes from showing up every day, caring for livestock, and doing the job right—lessons that carry through both the barn and the football field.
Family has always been at the center of the Stover operation. From feeding cattle to maintaining fences and working ground, the farm was a place where responsibility was shared and work ethic was built side by side. Those early experiences instilled a deep respect for animal care, land management, and producing beef they are proud to put on the table.
Today, Cade—now a tight end for the Houston Texans—continues that legacy as the owner and operator of a 330-acre beef cattle farm in Mansfield, just three miles from the family property where he grew up. The former dairy farm is now home to Black Angus feeder calves and a diverse crop rotation of corn, soybeans, and wheat, reflecting the family’s commitment to sustainability and long-term production.
Whether on the field or on the farm, the Stover family remains driven by the same values—dedication, integrity, and a strong connection to the land—ensuring their agricultural legacy continues for generations to come.
After weaning, cattle continue to grow and thrive by grazing on grass and pastures with farmers providing supplemental feed including vitamins and minerals to meet all of their nutritional needs.
