Red Hill Farm

A family-run Ohio beef operation raising 1,000 brood cows and managing the beef journey from pasture to plate, finishing cattle served at the family’s own local restaurants.

Red Hill Farm is a large-scale, family-owned beef operation based in Freeport, where the Raber family raises approximately 1,000 brood cows across five Ohio counties and finishes cattle that ultimately end up on plates at the family’s own steakhouse and burger restaurant.

Managing every link in the beef supply chain, the Rabers oversee breeding decisions, calving seasons, feeding programs, and finishing diets—ensuring quality, consistency, and care from pasture to plate. Their vertically integrated approach allows them to tell a complete beef story while delivering a product they’re proud to serve just miles from where it’s raised.

In addition to their cattle operation, Red Hill Farm has grown into a diversified family business that includes freezer beef sales, crop production, and rental properties. Despite its size and scope, the operation remains rooted in family values, community involvement, and a shared commitment to responsible beef production and long-term sustainability.

“We like to be able to market the beef farm-to-table.”
