The Ohio Beef Council proudly served as a presenting sponsor of the Ohio State University 4 Miler, supporting thousands of runners, walkers, and spectators at one of central Ohio’s most anticipated spring fitness events.
Held on the campus of The Ohio State University, the 4 Miler brings together participants of all ages to celebrate health, community, and Buckeye pride. As presenting sponsor, the Ohio Beef Council engaged race participants with nutrition-focused messaging highlighting beef’s role as a high-quality protein that helps fuel active lifestyles.
“Events like the Ohio State University 4 Miler are a natural fit for sharing how beef can be part of a balanced, performance-focused diet,” said Becky Reed, Council Chairman. “Beef provides essential nutrients like protein, iron, and zinc that support muscle recovery and overall wellness—important for runners and everyday athletes alike.”
On race day, thousands of attendees visited the Ohio Beef Council tent to fuel and recover with beef jerky and leave with beef recipes and helpful nutrition information.
The Ohio Beef Council’s involvement reflects its ongoing mission to promote beef’s nutritional benefits and to support community events that encourage healthy, active living across the state.
